Singapore Airlines (SIA) group carriers flew 3.5 million passengers in September, up 3.7% from 3.4 million in the same month in 2025. Read More » Passenger numbers rose 3.6% at Singapore Airlines to 2.3 million and increased 3.8% at LCC Scoot to 1.2 million. SIA said in its monthly traffic report the growth in September was broad-based across most regions. SIA group capacity, or available seat kilometres, grew by 3.1%, while demand, measured by revenue passenger kilometres, improved 2.8%. Passenger load factor (PLF) was down 0.3 percentage points at 86.8%. "SIA’s PLFs saw a year-on-year decrease in East Asia, Europe and South West Pacific as the capacity increase outpaced traffic growth," SIA said. The company reported its cargo operations carried 9.4% more freight in the 30 days, compared with a year earlier, "supported by growth across most verticals, particularly shipments of hardware for semiconductor and artificial intelligence applications". SIA is due to publish its latest financial report on Wednesday November 11.
