Read More » The airline has scheduled four flights a week between Delhi and Kansai with two-class 787-8 aircraft configured to carry 259 passengers with 18 seats in business and 241 in economy. Osaka will be the Star Alliance member’s second destination in India alongside existing flights to Tokyo Haneda from Delhi (daily) and Mumbai (four times a week). "The new service expands Air India’s presence in a market witnessing strong growth in demand from Indian travellers and deepening economic, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries," Air India said. "The addition of Osaka also enables travellers to book open-jaw itineraries, allowing them to fly into Osaka and return from Tokyo, or vice versa. This added flexibility is particularly relevant as multi-city travel is becoming increasingly popular among Indian visitors to Japan, especially along the country’s famed ‘Golden Route’, encompassing Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka." Air India will be the only airline flying nonstop between Delhi and Osaka. The service has been scheduled as an overnight service from Delhi and lunchtime departure from Kansai.
