October 20th 2026
Strong passenger growth in Cebu Pacific’s domestic network has helped offset declines at the LCC’s international operations in September. Read More » The Philippines carrier reported 1.9 million passengers for September, up 4.4% from 1.8 million in the same month last year. The number of domestic passengers rose 7.4% to 1.5 million, while international passengers flown fell 5.1% to 424,000. "Despite September traditionally being a lean travel month in the Philippines, we saw encouraging demand across our domestic network, particularly on key trunk routes," Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer, Xander Lao, said. "Internationally, we continued to manage capacity selectively in response to elevated fuel prices." The passenger load factor rose 2.4 percentage points to 83.5%, while capacity, measured by available seat kilometres, was cut by 1.4% in the month. Demand, or revenue passenger kilometres, was 2% higher in the 30 days. Looking ahead, Lao said the airline was working to calibrate its capacity with changes in market conditions. "As we approach the holiday season, we will maintain a disciplined approach to matching capacity with demand, while retaining the flexibility to adjust our network in response to fuel prices and evolving market conditions," Lao said. "Our focus remains on providing affordable and reliable travel."
