Qatar Airways and WestJet sign codeshare agreement

Qatar Airways will add its QR airline code on WestJet-operated domestic flights to 11 destinations from Montreal and Toronto. Read More » The destinations from those two cities include Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, St Johns, Vancouver and Winnipeg. Qatar Airways currently flies daily to both Montreal and Toronto from its Doha hub. "The addition of WestJet to its growing portfolio of partners reflects Qatar Airways continued focus on building collaborations that elevate the travel experience for global passengers," Qatar Airways said. As part of the agreement, WestJet will place its WS airline code on Qatar Airways’ services from Montreal and Toronto to Doha, with plans to expand the codeshare to include destinations beyond Doha, such as Jeddah, Nairobi, New Delhi and Singapore in the Asia-Pacific region. "Building on a trusted relationship that has spanned more than a decade, we’re pleased to offer guests greater choice, convenience and access through a single booking and check-in experience," WestJet chief commercial officer, John Weatherill, said.
