AirAsia Group co-founder and group CEO, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, announced on Wednesday he would resign from most of his positions in the group, but did not specify a date for the change. Read More »

Fernandes tweeted “as the first step of stepping back and moving the next generation of AirAsia leaders to the forefront, I will be stepping down from all boards except AirAsia Group and AirAsia X”. For now, he also will continue as CEO of airasia.com, he said.

Finnair’s new chief digital officer, who also will join the airline’s board, is Tomi Pienimaki, a successor to Katri Harra-Salonen. “With Katri at the helm, Finnair has made a great digital leap and today is one of the most desired employers among technology professionals in Finland, said Finnair CEO, Topi Manner.     

The new CEO of S7 Airlines is Vadim Klebanov. He takes over from Vladimir Obyejkov, who will move to the S7 group’s general aviation division.
