AirAsia Philippines has backed calls from the country's Department of Tourism (DoT) to establish a "green lane" for foreigners vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel to the Philippines. Read More » "AirAsia believes the ‘green lane’ will encourage leisure travellers who have previously expressed concerns about varying requirements per destination," AirAsia Philippines spokesperson, Steve Dailisan, said. "We strongly believe easing of restrictions among fully vaccinated individuals is critical to rebooting tourism, but there must be no room for complacency. Industry partners and stakeholders must proactively monitor and observe established health and safety protocols." The AirAsia Philippines statement said France, Nepal, Spain and Thailand (Phuket) had adopted green lanes to allow the entry of fully vaccinated travellers into their countries.
