Japan Airlines reports 1.8 million domestic passengers for March

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 1.8 million passengers on its domestic network in March; almost double the 920,158 passengers it carried in February. Read More » It also was JAL’S highest monthly total of air travellers since it transported 2.2 million passengers in December 2021. In addition to the hefty month-on-month improvement, the March figure was up 53.3% from 1.2 million domestic passengers carried in the same month in 2021. Domestic passenger load factor was 59.8% for the 31 days compared with 40.8% in February and 63.7% in March 2021. For a comparison with pre-COVID-19 levels of activity, in March 2019, the oneworld alliance member flew 3.1 million domestic passengers, recorded a 75% passenger load factor and had available seat kilometres 35.7% higher than in March 2022.
