Air New Zealand to go daily to Japan in new year

From December, Air New Zealand (Air NZ) will double its Auckland-Tokyo network from its current three times a week and go daily on the route from February 13. Read More » Pre-pandemic, the Star Alliance carrier flew 13 times weekly between the two countries. “Following the recent news that Japan’s border would reopen to tourists, we saw a strong uptick in interest and bookings from Kiwis,” Air NZ general manager long-haul, Scott Carr, said. “We kept flying to Japan during COVID, to maintain connectivity and keep New Zealand exports moving to this important market. We are extremely excited to fly customers to and from Tokyo again.”
