AirAsia links Penang and Bali with new nonstop service

AirAsia will launch nonstop twice a week flights between the popular tourist destinations of Penang in Malaysia and Bali in Indonesia from October 20. Read More » “This is an exciting time to travel. Not only will this new direct route offer a seamless journey for our guests, it will boost regional inbound tourism and support the local economies of both countries,” CEO Riad Asmat, said. “Penang plays an important role in our growth. As a key player, with the biggest market share of 50% as a group, we will expand our services into the state.” AirAsia operates about 150 flights a week on five domestic services to Penang. From October 20 it also will have four international routes into and out of the island state in its schedule. It is the LCC’s second largest hub in Malaysia behind Kuala Lumpur.
