AirAsia Indonesia recorded a net loss of 712.5 billion rupiah (US$43 million) for the three months to March 31 compared with a 777.8 billion rupiah net loss in matching 2024. Read More » Operating revenue rose 14.2%, to 2 trillion rupiah, AirAsia Indonesia added. The smaller quarterly loss reflected strong demand and the impact of developing routes beyond its domestic base, the LCC said. However, the gains were offset by the Indonesia rupiah falling 4.1% against the US dollar in the reported quarter. AirAsia Indonesia CEO, Veranita Yosephine, said the upcoming consolidation of the AirAsia and AirAsia X flying businesses under one roof will provide the LCC with better access to new markets and increase operational efficiencies.
