Read More » In first quarter 2025, 95.6 million international passengers flew on the region’s airlines, up from the 84.7 million customers they carried in first quarter 2024, the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) said. “This came on the back of international route expansion, liberalized visa regimes and resilient economic activity across the region,” AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said. As a result, airlines face elevated operating costs particularly high maintenance, leasing and personnel expenses.” The AAPA monthly update is compiled from the traffic data of 37 Indo-Asia-Pacific carriers.
