Air Tahiti highlights rare birds of French Polynesia in livery of new ATR 72-600

Air Tahiti is raising awareness of the plight of French Polynesia’s endemic bird species with a special livery on a recently delivered ATR 72-600. Read More » The aircraft, registration F-OPFS and named Revanui (meaning vast celestial space), features birds from across the French Polynesia archipelago on the fuselage. The project was undertaken in partnership with the Polynesian Ornithological Society (MANU). “As an inter-island airline committed to preserving Polynesian heritage and the environment, Air Tahiti has been a long-time supporter of MANU, which works to protect and conserve the endemic birds of the archipelagos, many of which are endangered,” Air Tahiti said. “By showcasing these rare birds Air Tahiti is paying tribute to this unique natural heritage and acknowledges MANU’s important work in its protection.”
