Read More » Revenue was 11.6% higher, at 1.8 trillion yen, a JAL regulatory filing said. All business segments added revenue and profits in the year, the flag carrier added. “International passenger sales were generally good because of continuing strong inbound demand and a recovery trend in outbound business demand,” JAL said. “Domestic passenger sales have been stable also due to recovery in demand.” Expenses increased because of the depreciation of the Japanese yen and global inflation, the airline reported. JAL has reaffirmed its March forecast that revenue for the financial year will rise by 7.2%, to 1.977 trillion yen, and its net profit will increase 7.4% to 115 billion yen. Strong inbound demand is predicted for the current quarter with domestic and international passengers to exceed the volumes of the same quarter in 2024. “In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, we will steadily recover our business performance from changes in the post-pandemic environment and build a foundation for growth,” JAL said.
