Spirit AeroSystems has reported a net loss of US$613 million for the three months to March 31, an improvement from a US$617 million net loss in the same quarter in 2024. Revenue declined by 11%, to US$1.5 billion, Spirit AeroSystems said in a regulatory filing. The company attributed the revenue decline to lower production activity on most Boeing programs. “For the 737 program, production activity in the first quarter of 2024 was higher due to preparation for expected rate increases that subsequently were delayed in that same period,” Spirit AeroSystems said.
Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) carrier, Malaysia Airlines, has signed Memoranda of Understanding to expand its presence in markets it does not serve with its own aircraft. Its new partners are StudentUniverse and marine and energy travel operator Advanced Travel Partners International. “These partnerships reflect the strategic ambition of Malaysia Airlines to deepen its reach across multiple customer segments and geographies,” MAG chief commercial officer of airlines, Dersenish Aresandiran, said.
