EVA Airways books 25.8% profit increase; cargo demand robust

EVA Airways has reported a net profit of T$5.9 billion (US$196 million) for the three months to March 31 compared with a T$4.7 billion net profit a year ago. Read More » Revenue increased 5.8%, to T$54.9 billion, EVA said. The results were underpinned by the strong performance of the carrier’s cargo unit, the Taiwan-based airline added and said sales had improved 25.9% to T$12.7 billion. Cargo operations are benefitting from increased demand for semiconductors, AI servers and e-commerce products from China, local media said.
