Airbus is predicting airlines will accept 43,420 new commercial aircraft in the 20 years to 2044. Read More » The 2025-2044 Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF) predicts a 2.3% increase in airplane deliveries compared with 42,430 new aircraft deliveries a year ago. The GMF said customers will accept 34,250 single-aisles and 9,170 wide-bodies in the next 20 years against the 33,510 single-aisles and 8,920 wide-bodies it forecast for the two decades a year ago. “Crucially, approximately 18,930 aircraft deliveries will replace older generation models,” Airbus said. “This modernization is paramount for enhancing operational efficiency and significantly reducing the environmental footprint of aviation per passenger kilometre.”
