China Southern Airlines announces 5.5% passenger increase

China Southern Airlines (CSA) flew 14.2 million passengers last month compared with the 13.4 million customers flown a year ago. Read More » Passenger traffic increased on most routes CSA said. In the 31 days, domestic travellers were up 3.8%, at 12.3 million air travellers, international passengers carried increased 21.4%, to 1.7 million and regional air traffic declined 11.7% to 150,280 customers. Passenger load factor was 85.9% for the month with capacity expanded by 5% in the reported period. At May 31, CSA had a fleet of 940 aircraft, an increase of three airliners against April 30.
