China Eastern Airlines flew 12.6 million passengers in May

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) passengers carried improved 10.8% in the latest month compared with 11.4 million air travellers a year ago. Read More » International passengers flown in the 31 days were up 26.7%, to 1.7 million, while domestic passenger numbers grew at a more modest pace of 8.7% to 10.6 million. CEA’s regional passengers posted the lowest year-on-year growth of 7.6% to 326,770 travellers. Capacity was 9.3% higher and passenger load factor increased 4.6% to 85.4% in the month, the SkyTeam alliance member said. At May 31, the Shanghai-headquartered airline had a fleet of 814 aircraft, unchanged from April 30.
