Airbus has received an order for 10 A350F freighters and 30 A320neo family aircraft from AviLease. “The agreement also foresees a future increase to 22 A350Fs and 55 A320neo family aircraft,” Airbus said.

Airbus also has booked an order for 25 A350-1000s from Riyadh Air. The agreement includes the potential for 40 more A350-1000s to be acquired by the Middle East carrier. “Riyadh Air will become the first airline in Saudi Arabia to operate the A350-1000,” Airbus said.

Still with Airbus, the air framer has finalized its agreement with ANA HOLDINGS for 24 A321neo and three A321XLRs for All Nippon Airways and the group’s LCC, Peach Aviation.

Additionally, LOT Polish Airlines has committed to 20 A220-100s and 20 A220-300s. Airbus said the airline could order up to 84 A220 family aircraft as part of the agreement.

Cebu Pacific has signed a 12-year maintenance service agreement with Pratt & Whitney covering the GTF engines powering the LCC's A320neo family aircraft. “This agreement aligns Cebu Pacific's maintenance costs to the utilization of the airline's engines,” Pratt & Whitney said.

DHL Express France has announced a new hub for handling shipments at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is expected to open in the northern hemisphere summer season. It will be capable of processing up to 17,500 parcels an hour more than five times current capacity.

Eve Air Mobility has released its global market outlook that forecasts an estimated in-service fleet of 30,000 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft by 2045. “This fleet figure will be needed to support the estimated three billion passengers, creating potential revenue of $280 billion,” Eve said.

Also in Paris Eve signed an agreement with Brazil-headquartered Revo for up to 50 eVTOL aircraft as well as entry into service and aftermarket services.

Frontier Airlines has selected Pratt & Whitney GTF engines for its 91 A321neo and also has signed an engine maintenance service agreement with the engine OEM.

Honeywell said Southwest Airlines will activate the SmartRunway and SmartLanding software in Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) on its entire 737 fleet.

Still with Honeywell, the company said the spin-off of its Advanced Materials business is scheduled for completion by year-end to be followed by its aerospace business.

Pratt & Whitney has launched an upgrade option for its PW1100G-JM engine, Hot Section Plus (HS+). “Derived from the Pratt & Whitney GTF Advantage engine, which will offer twice the time on wing of today's Pratt & Whitney GTF engine, HS+ will provide 90 to 95% of the GTF Advantage's durability benefits,” Pratt & Whitney said.

On the opening day of the European air show, Vietjet confirmed its May order for 40 Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines to power its A330neo fleet. The commitment follows the LCC’s order of 40 Trent 7000 engines signed in February last year at the Singapore Air show.
