Read More » The LCC started flying between the two cities on May 30. The competing carrier on the route is Batik Air Malaysia. "The response has exceeded our expectations," AirAsia X CEO, Benyamin Ismail, said. "We are not only connecting two vibrant cities but enabling affordable access to more than 130 destinations across the AirAsia network. This aligns with our strategy of expanding into high-potential, underserved markets with strong demand for value-based medium-haul travel." Forward bookings for the next quarter were "healthy" and solid load factors are projected for the route, the LCC added.
