SpiceJet to operate 250 daily flights over northern hemisphere winter season

SpiceJet is expanding its schedule during the northern hemisphere winter scheduling season, which began on Sunday (October 26), to an eventual peak of 250 flights a day as more leased aircraft join the fleet. Read More » The figure represented 100 more daily flights than last year’s northern winter season peak of 150 daily flights and double the 125 daily flights during the recently concluded northern hemisphere summer. "This winter marks a significant phase of growth for SpiceJet," SpiceJet chief business officer, Debojo Maharshi, said. "Doubling our daily flights is a clear reflection of SpiceJet’s renewed momentum and growth strategy. The steady expansion of our fleet will allow us to enhance frequency on key routes and launch new destinations, delivering more choice, capacity and value to our passengers." New international services set to launch during the northern winter include nonstop flights to Phuket from Delhi and Mumbai. On the domestic network, SpiceJet has announced new routes such as Kolkata to Jaipur and Udaipur, Bengaluru to Chennai, and Patna to Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
