ANA flags international growth, flat domestic network for year ahead

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will increase flight frequencies on its international network by 5% in the upcoming fiscal year amid "robust demand" for air travel. Read More » In contrast to the expansion of its international flying, the Star Alliance member’s domestic flight schedules for the 12 months to March 31 2027 will be down 2% from the previous fiscal year. "While there will be seasonally enhanced flight frequencies on popular routes, ANA will reduce frequencies or suspend services on certain routes based on a comprehensive assessment of demand trends and the competitive environment," ANA said of its domestic network. "Following COVID-19, ANA has been facing a challenging environment for generating profit due to structural shifts in demand and rising costs."
ANA said its LCC subsidiary, Peach, was expecting to grow international flight frequencies by 12% in the next fiscal year, highlighted by more flights to Seoul Incheon and Taipei Taoyuan.
