Air China to report deeper full-year net loss

Read More » The flag carrier said the net loss for the 12 months to December 31 2025 was forecast to be between 1.3 billion yuan and 1.9 billion yuan (US$187 million and US$273 million). Air China posted a net loss of 237 million yuan for calendar 2024. Despite the deteriorating net profit, the company said the loss before deducting non-recurring items was expected to be between 1.9 billion yuan and 2.7 billion yuan, which represented a potential improvement from the 2.5 billion yuan loss on this financial measure in 2024. While Air China did not provide specific reasons for the worsening bottom line, the company said in a regulatory filing its operations achieved higher revenue and lower costs in 2025. Air China’s most recent annual profit was in 2019.
