GE Aerospace has announced a US$1 billion investment to boost production of engine parts and "accelerate engine deliveries" across its commercial and defence programs. The investment includes expanding engine production capacity for the CFM International LEAP engine platform at production at two U.S. sites.
Standard Aero has signed a general terms agreement with lessor AviLease to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on the CFM International LEAP-1A/LEAP-1B and CFM56-7B engines.
