Akasa Airlines to establish maintenance facility at Noida

India-headquartered Akasa Airline will build its first maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) workshop at Noida International Airport offering a "broad spectrum" of aircraft maintenance activities. Read More » The India government has earmarked Noida, in the northern India state of Uttar Pradesh, to be a leading MRO hub. "Our partnership with Noida International Airport reflects how we think about building Akasa for the long term," Akasa Air CEO, Vinay Dube, said. "As India’s aviation market continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, developing strong domestic MRO capabilities will be critical for airlines to operate efficiently and reliably at scale."

Noida International Airport CEO, Christoph Schnellmann, said: "This partnership will not only enhance India’s MRO capabilities but also create opportunities for skill development and employment in the region."
