SIA Group reports double-digit increase to record high passengers in March

The full-service Singapore Airlines posted 9.5% growth in passengers to 2.4 million, while LCC Scoot increased the number of air travellers by 25.6%, to 1.4 million. "The robust passenger traffic growth was supported by the increase in demand for air travel ahead of the Easter holiday in early April, as well as spillover Europe-bound traffic as capacity through Middle East air hubs was affected by the ongoing Middle East conflict," SIA said in a regulatory filing. Singapore Airlines’ passenger load factor of 90.3% was also a monthly record and 6.2 percentage points above the 84.1% recorded in March 2025. The group’s revenue passenger kilometres were 14.7% higher, while capacity increased 7.2% in the month. SIA cut its cargo capacity 1.3% in March, while the cargo load factor was up 2.1 percentage points at 59%.
