Indonesia AirAsia narrows quarterly loss

PT AirAsia Indonesia has reported a net loss of 334.6 billion rupiah (US$19 million) for the three months to March 31 2026, an improvement from the net loss of 712.5 billion rupiah in the same three-month period in 2025. Read More » Revenue rose 0.1% to 2.1 trillion rupiah, while operating expenses were 6.1% lower at 2.3 trillion rupiah, PT AirAsia Indonesia said in a regulatory filing. The LCC said its improved bottom line was achieved through increased aircraft productivity, changes to its domestic and international network and more optimal fleet management to reduce maintenance costs. PT AirAsia Indonesia CEO, Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, said the LCC was continuing to make adjustments to its route network amid fluctuating global oil prices and changing market conditions.
