Malaysia Airlines plans July resumption of Doha route

Malaysia Airlines will restart nonstop flights to Doha from its Kuala Lumpur hub on July 2. Read More » The Malaysia Aviation Group carrier, which suspended flying to the Qatar capital in late February due to airspace closures in response to the Israel and U.S.-led war against Iran, has scheduled one daily service on the route. Its second daily flight remains cancelled until October. The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) recently confirmed in a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) Doha Hamad International Airport was reopening to foreign carriers, with flights operating through a designated flight corridor. "The airline continues to closely monitor the situation through ongoing risk assessments and relevant NOTAMs before fully resuming operations," Malaysia Airlines said. "The safety of passengers and crew remains our highest priority."
