Philippine Airlines extends partnership with Qatar Airways

Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Qatar Airways announced they are expanding their partnership by enhancing connectivity between their networks. Read More » Starting June 1, 2026, Philippine Airlines will place its code on Qatar Airways flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha and beyond, and connect to over 20 major European cities. Qatar Airways will place its code on Philippine Airlines’ domestic flights via Manila and Cebu. Complementing the codeshare expansion, Qatar Airways’ loyalty program, Privilege Club, has partnered with Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles to extend loyalty benefits to members of both programs.
On May 20, 2026, Qatar Airways reported net profit of 7.08 billion QAR ($1.94 billion) for the 12 months to March 31, a 7% deline year-on-year, as passenger numbers slipped to 41.8 million from 43.1 million the previous year. The carrier is rebuilding its operations, which have been affected by the Iran war. “We are actively rebuilding our global network with the confidence that comes from a balance sheet that has never been stronger, partnerships that proved their depth when we needed them most, and an organization that has demonstrated, under genuine pressure, exactly what it is capable of,” CEO Hamad Al-Khater said, commenting on the results.
