China Eastern Airlines introduces free in-flight Wi-Fi on all wide-body flights

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) announced that, starting July 3, 2026, all flights operated by CEA and its subsidiary, Shanghai Airlines, using wide-body aircraft will offer free in-flight Wi-Fi. Read More » Access to the network will be granted to all passengers, regardless of route or cabin class, both domestically and internationally, CEA said. Following this upgrade, China Eastern’s free Wi-Fi service on wide-body aircraft will be extended to routes in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia. Premium economy and economy class passengers will be able to use standard data, while first class and business class passengers will have access to high-speed data.
