ANA special livery 787-8 celebrating Pokémon to enter service on July 29

An All Nippon Airways (ANA) 787-8 featuring a special livery to celebrate 30 years of collaboration between the airline and Pokemon is scheduled to enter commercial service on July 29. Read More » The Boeing widebody, registration JA819A, will operate two return services between Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka on its first day of operations with the Fire-type Pokémon on the fuselage. The Star Alliance member is also giving Pokémon fans within its Mileage Club frequent flyer program an opportunity to attend the official unveiling event on July 28 at its maintenance facility at Haneda. The 80 places up for grabs to get a close look at the special livery aircraft will be awarded by lottery. The 787-8 is the first phase of ANA’s efforts to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its partnership with Pokémon, with three special aircraft planned for this year. "Together with the "Pokémon Jets," the ANA Group will continue to provide the joy and excitement of travel as the wings of the heart connecting the world," ANA said.
