Vietjet launches initiative to support Muslim travel to Vietnam

Vietjet has proposed bringing together the various businesses involved in the country’s tourism sector, such as airlines, airports and local businesses across the supply and value chain, to work together to support Muslim travel to Vietnam. Read More » The Vietnam Halal Connect initiative also includes collaboration with Halal certification bodies and technology partners to expand the country’s appeal to Muslim visitors. The LCC is working to expand Halal meal options on its flights, along with other initiatives to better serve Muslim travellers. "We see strong opportunities to strengthen Vietnam’s appeal among Muslim travelers through better connectivity and services that respond to their evolving travel needs," Vietjet commercial director, Ha Nang Viet, said. "Through Vietnam Halal Connect, we hope to encourage closer cooperation across the travel value chain so that Muslim travelers can explore Vietnam with greater confidence and convenience." Vietjet said there were about 600,000 Muslim travellers among the 21 million tourists who visited Vietnam in 2025, citing government figures presented at the Vietnam Halal Tourism Conference 2026 late last week.
