AirAsia X completes formalities in rebranding to AirAsia Group

AirAsia X has finalised its name change to AirAsia Group. Read More » The process to change the LCC group’s name was completed following the conclusion of the registration process with the Companies Commission of Malaysia earlier this month. The LCC group, which comprises AirAsia-branded airlines in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, as well as AirAsia X-branded airlines in Malaysia and Thailand, received approval from shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting at the end of June. "This important step represents more than a corporate exercise," AirAsia Group independent, non-executive chair, Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim, said. "It marks a defining milestone in our ambition to become the world’s first low-cost network carrier, leveraging the synergies and full potential of our short- and medium-haul network. By bringing our airlines together under AirAsia Group, we are better positioned to enhance connectivity, deliver more seamless journeys and create greater value for our guests across the region and beyond."
