Air New Zealand expands interline partnership with Air Chathams

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) said that, building on the successful launch of interline services to Whakatāne earlier this year, from August 13, 2026, passengers traveling to and from the Chatham Islands with Air Chathams will be able to book a single journey connecting them with Air New Zealand’s domestic network. It keeps communities connected, supports tourism and local businesses, and helps people and goods move around the country. No one airline can do that alone. That’s why we’re proud to be expanding our partnership with Air Chathams,” AirNZ said in a social media statement. Two airlines already partner on the Auckland–Whakatāne route. Starting this week, the cooperation will be extended to the Auckland–Whanganui, Auckland–Chatham Islands, Wellington–Chatham Islands, and the Christchurch–Chatham Islands routes.
