SIA Group reports 4% passenger growth for July

Singapore Airlines Group (SIA) flew 3.7 million passengers in July, an increase of about 243,000 travellers from the 3.5 million carried in the same month in 2025. Read More » Full-service Singapore Airlines posted 1.6% growth in passengers to 2.4 million, while LCC Scoot had 8.6% more passengers from a year ago at 1.3 million. Singapore Airlines’ passenger load factor was down 2.6 percentage points at 84.8%, with its South West Pacific (Australia and New Zealand) network recording the largest decline at seven percentage points to 86.4%. Passenger load factor at Scoot fell 2 percentage points to 90.2%. The group’s revenue passenger kilometres were up 2.6%, while capacity increased 5.5% in the month. "During the month, Scoot suspended services to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia from 14 July 2026, following the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East," SIA said in a regulatory filing. "SIA’s services to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates remain suspended." SIA said cargo capacity was 1.5% lower in July, while the cargo load factor was up 0.8 of a percentage point at 57.9%. The company said the reduced cargo capacity was due to freighter aircraft maintenance in the month.
