Vietjet registers first aircraft in Australia: Report

Read More » The aircraft, registered VH-T8A, msn 63879, owned by Vietjet Aviation, has appeared on the CASA register with a registered operator based in Melbourne under the name “Cherrie Aviation”. The jet was manufactured this year. “The Australian entity is currently seeking regulatory approval to operate aircraft in Australia,” a Vietjet spokesperson told Australian Aviation. Earlier this year, The Australian Financial Review reported that the Vietnamese LCC had applied for an air operator’s certificate, igniting speculation about Vietjet’s possible entry into the Australian domestic market.
