Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines has partnered with New York-based restaurant, WENWEN, to develop a selection of Taiwanese dishes to be served on its flights departing Los Angeles and Ontario (California). The dishes include a braised pork belly and rice for economy class, pork belly and prawn with fried rice in premium economy and sweet potato mochi snack in business class.
China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) has agreed a deal to sell two 737-800s to Chongqing Yangtze River No.1 Aircraft Leasing Co. The company said in a regulatory filing the sale and purchase agreement was expected to be completed by the end of November.
Separately, CALC has agreed to sell one A321 aircraft to Sojitz Corporation, with the transaction expected to close by December 31 this year.
Embraer reported 22 commercial aircraft deliveries for the three months to September 30, comprising 11 E175s, four E190-E2s and seven 195-E2s. The figure represented an increase of two aircraft from the same three-month period in 2025 and from the three months to June 30 this year. The Brazil-headquartered airframer has handed over 52 commercial aircraft in the nine months to September 30 this year. Its delivery guidance for this calendar 2026 is for between 80 and 85 commercial aircraft deliveries.
Ethiopian Airlines has placed a top-up order with Boeing for two current-model 777F freighters and eight in-development 777-8X freighters. The Star Alliance member already has eight 777-9X passenger aircraft on order with Boeing and operates 12 777F, two 767 and four 737-800SF freighter aircraft.
