China Southern Airlines registered 13.9 million air passengers in December

China Southern Airlines (CSA) said passengers carried increased 7.7% to 13.9 million, from the 11.1 million air travellers a year ago. Read More » The Guangzhou-headquartered carrier’s international network posted the largest percentage increase at 16.8% to 1.9 million in December. Domestic travellers flown by CSA grew 6.4%, to 11.8 million during the 31 days, while regional travellers climbed 8.2% to 152,550. Passenger load factor fell half a percentage point to 84.1% and capacity rose 11.9% year-on-year. At December 31, CSA had 972 aircraft, an increase of six from the end of November.
