AirAsia X (AAX) has announced Bo Lingham as its new group CEO. Read More » Lingham was previously the CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group when it was part of Capital A. The appointment was part of broader management changes following the completion of the acquisition of AirAsia group airlines from Capital A. AAX also appointed Farouk Kamal as deputy group CEO, Low Kar Chuan as chief financial officer and Lavinia Louis as head of group finance. Benyamin Ismail, who was CEO of AAX prior to the transaction with Capital A, remains at the company as general manager and continues to be the "accountable manager in running the day-to-day operations of AirAsia X as an airline operating company", AAX said. "This new management structure reflects the board’s commitment to strengthening the leadership depth and ensuring that the company is well positioned to execute its strategic priorities," AAX chair, Dato’ Fam Lee Ee, said. "With Bo’s proven leadership and deep understanding of the business, we are confident AirAsia X is in good hands."
