Philippine Airlines (PAL) has resumed flying to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia from its Manila hub. Read More » The first flight since the route was suspended due to the Israel and U.S.-led war on Iran took off on Friday, with the PR654 operated by A330-300 registration RP-C8766. However, while this was previously a nonstop service, PAL will operate certain flights to Riyadh with a technical stop at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. "The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our foremost priority," PAL said. "As Riyadh operations resume, PAL will temporarily operate via an alternate flight route to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained during this period. As a result, select Manila-Riyadh flights will include a brief technical stop in Bangkok for refueling." PAL said passengers were not required to leave the aircraft while the aircraft was refuelling in Bangkok.
