Changi Airport Group (CAG) said this was the first time Qantas had operated dedicated freighter services to Singapore. The airline also carries cargo on its scheduled passenger services to Singapore from Brisbane, Darwin, London Heathrow, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. CAG executive vice president for air hub and cargo development, Lim Ching Kiat, said: "The decision by Qantas Group to expand its freighter operations to Singapore is timely, as we continue to see stronger air cargo demand in Asia-Pacific and the region’s increasing importance as a key driver of global air cargo growth."
