flyadeal touches down in Mumbai

Saudi Arabia-based flyadeal has added a second destination in India with the start of nonstop flights to Mumbai from its Riyadh hub. Read More » The inaugural flight F3663, operated by A320neo registration HZ-FAU with chief operating officer Captain Abdulaziz Bahri and chief pilot Captain Ali Hakim in the flight deck, arrived at Mumbai at about 0720 local time on October 3, following its three-hour-and-45-minute journey from Riyadh. The aircraft, configured to carry 186 passengers in a single-class layout, was on the ground for a little under two hours before taking off as the reciprocal F3664 to Riyadh. flynas has scheduled five flights a week on the Riyadh-Mumbai route. It started flying daily from Riyadh to Hyderabad, the airline’s first destination in India, on July 1 this year. "As the third-largest low-cost airline in the Middle East region, we are committed to strengthening our presence in India, and Mumbai is an important milestone in that journey," flyadeal acting CEO, Sanjiv Kapoor, said. "India is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing aviation markets and a strategic priority for flyadeal as we continue to expand our international network." flyadeal is the fifth airline flying nonstop between Riyadh and Mumbai alongside Air India, flynas, IndiGo and Riyadh Air.
